Welcome to Roadata Services Ltd. (RDS), a place where our clients can find a one
window service related to all aspects of moving overweight, over dimensional vehicles
on roadways throughout Canada.
In 1995 RDS started by compiling roadway restriction information such as road bans
and restricted bridges. Soon after RDS started to provide Transportation permit
issuing services to Flagstaff County, and the rest, as they say, is history.
The goal of the ownership group was to build a company that focused on technology
driven improvement of service to both Municipal and Industry clients as it relates
to the movement of heavy loads over rural roads. With such great success we have
now expanded to the position that we are proud to be Canada’s largest and most experienced
Municipal permit agent. Some of our proud accomplishments include:
- Alberta’s first Transportation Routing and Vehicle Information System (TRAVIS) Permit
- Canada's only true full service Municipal permit agent for the TRAVIS permit issuing
- Roadata manages and operates a toll free information line
- Introduced advisory text and e-mail notification systems
- Commitment to continued development of Canada’s most informational and resource
based web site for the Municipal and Transportation sectors
- Development of web based Fleet management and vehicle specification data management
Everything we do is dedicated to achieving excellence in the services we provide
to our clients. We are partnered with over
of Rural Municipalities in Alberta and have well over 1500 industry clients. With
our experience we are able to provide exceptional service to our clients to coordinate
overweight permit approval services. Our goal is a one stop shop for our Industrial
clients and total Infrastructure Protection for our Municipal clients.
RDS employs a highly skilled team to make it possible to meet all needs of our clients.
Full time Information Technology staff allows us to maintain highly efficient custom
programs to stay on the leading edge. Service is provided 365 days a year, with
our call center generally staffed between the hours of 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Providing
increased availability with extended hours and weekend support ensures that we meet
the needs of our client’s ever changing schedule. RDS also commits to a 24hr support
line for those who may require service outside of our regular business hours.
