ROADWAY RESTRICTION INFORMATION
RDS provides information regarding the following types of Roadway restrictions:
ROAD BANS
Road Bans are weight restrictions that reduce the maximum weight allowed on any carrying axle of a Truck or Trailer by the percentage specified.

WEIGHT RESTRICTED BRIDGES
Weight Restricted Bridges are bridges that may not be able to carry the full legal weight of a unit or an axle group. The weight restriction will vary depending on various properties of the bridge. In many areas the fines for crossing these bridges over the posted limits can be significant. Some local roads may not have these bridges posted with signs.
VERTICAL CLEARANCES
Vertical clearances are any overhead obstruction that may hinder movement. Some of these vertical restrictions are less than legal height. The truck or trailer is usually the one that suffers most in collisions.
ROAD & BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
Throughout the year, especially in summer, construction can delay travel. The movement of oversize loads can experience significant delays.
