Over Dimensional Loads

When a load exceeds legal dimensions a permit is required and depending on the dimensions, certain conditions must be followed. In addition to obtain a permit when exceeding legal dimensions, there are general conditions and restrictions that must be followed depending on the size of your load.

Out of Province Vehicles

When entering the Province of British Columbia with an out of province plate, the vehicle must be prorated with IFTA or additional Permits are required.

SRT Certification

SRT stands for “Static Rollover Threshold” and is the study of roll stability of vehicles. This certificate may be required for different configurations before any vehicle permits will be issued.

Extraordinary Loads

Sometimes when requesting an overweight/oversize permit in BC; extraordinary load approval will be required before the Permit office can issue a permit.

Over Weight Loads

Vehicles exceeding legal weights in BC require an overweight permit.
